The United States is supposed to have a president as well as three branches of government to provide checks and balances. We are not supposed to be governed by a king who rules via Executive Order. Per our Constitution — which you took an oath to uphold — the president does not have the power to abolish a federal agency, that belongs to Congress. The president does not have the authority to stop funding that Congress has approved. The president is supposed to obey the findings of the judicial branch, not ignore them and demand impeachment. The president — nor any governmental official —is not allowed to stop protests against our government for our right to speak out without fear of retribution is protected by the First Amendment. Yet my representatives are letting Trump run all over the rule of law and cause a Constitutional crisis as the country falls more and more into a fascist, authoritarian regime. This is not why the Revolutionary War was fought. This is not how our founding fathers designed our government.
