You Have the Power to Protect My Health Care—Pass ACA Protections Now
To: Sen. Coleman
From: A constituent in Quakertown, PA
March 27
I have lived my entire life with a chronic illness and the constant fear that one day, some politician would decide my health care isn’t worth protecting. That fear isn’t abstract—it’s real. It’s the difference between life and death for people like me. And now, you’re in a position to do something about it.
The Pennsylvania House has already passed critical ACA protections, ensuring that insurance companies can’t deny coverage based on pre-existing conditions or gut essential benefits. There is no excuse—none—for the Senate to stall. If you fail to pass this bill, you are making a deliberate choice to strip Pennsylvanians of our right to health care and leave us at the mercy of an industry that values profit over human lives.
Are you willing to tell your constituents that you stood by while their health care was dismantled? That you let insurance companies decide who lives and who suffers? If you vote against these protections, you are complicit in the devastation that will follow. People will lose coverage. People will go bankrupt. People will die. And we will remember who let it happen.
Do the right thing. Pass the ACA protections now.
