I am writing to you today to express my concern after trumps posting about stopping federal funds for institutes of learning that allow illegal protest. I find it alarming that the president is tying protest with funding for colleges. The illegal protest statement is a dog whistle cause every governing agency has consistently illustrated protest they dont like as illegal. Look to the Boston Tea Party if you need proof, do you think Britain viewed it as legal or illegal protest? It is unpatriotic and fascist to squash protests and I will always stand up for others to protest even if I dont support it. That is one of the most amazing American characteristics, values, and principles. You swore to uphold the constitution start acting like it.
