I urge you to filibuster and reject the proposed continuing resolution (CR), as it represents yet another abdication of Congress’s constitutional responsibility over federal funding. Instead of fulfilling its duty to pass a proper budget, Congress continues to rely on short-term measures that diminish its authority and shift power away from elected representatives. I am also deeply concerned about the growing influence of unelected individuals—particularly Elon Musk—over critical sectors of government and national security. The increasing reliance on private entities for essential infrastructure and defense, without proper oversight, raises serious questions about accountability and public interest. The CR does nothing to address these concerns and, in some ways, exacerbates the problem by sidestepping necessary debate and long-term planning. Congress must take back its role in governing responsibly. I urge you to oppose this resolution and demand a full budget that reflects the will of the people, not the interests of a few powerful individuals.
