Senior Trump officials including Vice-President Vance, Secretary of Defense Hegseth, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller were planning military strikes in Yemen over a Signal group chat and they accidentally included the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic.
Signal is also not approved for sharing classified information and so there is serious risk they’ve exposed this conversation to hacking by foreign intelligence services, and with messages set to disappear it also seems likely they are breaking the law about preserving government records.
I want you to demand hearings to investigate this security breach, to establish what other operations may have been exposed through similar protocol violations and whether U.S. servicemembers have been endangered, and to learn more about the potential and illegal destruction of records
I want you to demand that an independent prosecutor investigate all those involved for potential violations of laws on classified information and if none is forthcoming I want you to demand resignations, and press for impeachments.
I need you to stand up for the security of our country NOW.
