Please oppose the administration's plan to lay off thousands of IRS employees, most of whom are directly involved in collecting unpaid taxes. Every year the government receives about $700 Billion less in taxes than it is owed (mostly from wealthy individuals and corporations). Aggressive cuts to our nation's accounts receivable function will not make the IRS more efficient or lower taxes for the middle class. It only adds to our debt.
