The United States' commitment to upholding international law and defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine must remain unwavering. Lifting sanctions or allowing Russian banks back into the SWIFT system would undermine efforts to hold Russia accountable for its illegal invasion and violations of Ukrainian sovereignty. As a nation that advocated for Ukraine's denuclearization, the U.S. has a moral obligation to support Ukraine against Russian aggression. Compromising our principles by acquiescing to Russian demands would erode America's credibility on the global stage and weaken our alliances. Steadfast resolve in maintaining a united front with our allies through robust sanctions is crucial to achieving a just resolution to this conflict.
