Our basic freedoms are in danger. The unlawful arrest and detention of Rümeysa Öztürk is another example in Trump’s war on freedom of speech. If you actually care about our First Amendment rights you need to start standing up for them by demanding answers. This type of extrajudicial arrest always starts with those deemed expendable and outside the mainstream. But if you are a student of history you know it never ends there. Don’t be party to this democratic backsliding.
