Please, for the love of all that is good and holy, protect PBS, NPR, libraries, museums, and Washington, DC itself. I work in DC and it’s not a crime ridden and dirty place. I love this city and I love the people in it. I don’t want to be worried about Trump’s new goon squad (because let’s be honest, that’s how he’ll use the police) while I’m living my life. I am also deeply concerned about the Smithsonian. The African American History museum is a beautiful and necessary building. It has no improper ideology and Vance should NOT get to walk through the building and tell Black people to change anything. He’s white and he sucks, and this is all so racist. Just—thank you for all you’re doing and please keep fighting.
