As a DC teacher who lives in Takoma Park, I urge you to fight against the $1B proposed spending bill cuts to the DC government. These cuts which will affect DC’s police, teachers, and essential workers are shortsighted and cruel. Our area is already reeling from vicious cuts to the federal workers in this area. If they need to cut something—remove the tax cuts for millionaires in their project 2025 plans!
