The SAVE Act aims to restrict voter registration for federal elections by requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship. This burdensome requirement would disenfranchise many eligible voters, disproportionately impacting marginalized communities. Such barriers to voting undermine our democracy and constitutional rights. I urge you to reject this harmful legislation that impedes free and fair elections. We must protect and expand access to the ballot box, not erect discriminatory obstacles. Defend the fundamental right to vote for all eligible citizens.
