The Trump administration's mistaken deportation of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, despite his protected status, is deeply concerning. This grave error has torn apart a family and put Mr. Garcia in a precarious situation at the notoriously dangerous CECOT prison. The administration must rectify this injustice swiftly by taking all necessary steps to secure Mr. Garcia's safe return to the United States and reunite him with his wife and children, one of whom is autistic and nonverbal. Allowing this blatant oversight to continue would be an unconscionable violation of his legal protections and human rights. Urgent action is needed to bring Mr. Garcia home before any further harm befalls him or his family.
