I hope our Michigan farmers remember what Trump WITH YOUR EXPLICIT APPROVAL is doing to our state as a whole with the tariffs and expectations that they can just grow what we need next month. I hope they remember that they will never get paid for the crops they grew for USAID because Trump killed that (and left those crops to rot) before they could be reimbursed. I hope, when they need new farm equipment like combines and harvesters, they remember that those steel prices and the computers for our newer high tech equipment are now going to be exponentially expensive. I hope when the drought arrives this summer, and they are living in uncertainty, and when the summer storms roll through crushing and flooding their work, they remember that Trump and Musk gutted NOAA and NWS. I hope our farmers remember that farmers have a long history of holding politicians responsible. I hope they remember that Ukraine fought at the beginning of their war with Russia using the same tractors they used to plant the wheat that feeds Europe. I hope they remember the people who have lied to them and betrayed them to bring us here, promising easier days ahead for their votes and instead leaving them with fields of rotten plants. And I hope they remember your part in it the next time you come begging for votes.
