These escalating tariffs enacted by the Trump Administration are deeply damaging to the American economy and global trade. By restoring free and fair trade policies, we can build stronger economic partnerships, increase U.S. competitiveness, and create more opportunities for American workers and businesses. I urge you to work swiftly to end these punitive tariffs and repair relationships with our trading partners. A return to open markets and frictionless global commerce will benefit all Americans through greater choice, lower prices, and expanded exports. Protectionism is a losing strategy that weakens America's economic leadership. We must seize this chance to reassert our commitment to free trade.
