Stop the termination of federal grants (i.e. NIH) already approved by congress

To: Rep. Ogles, Sen. Blackburn, Sen. Hagerty

From: A constituent in Nashville, TN

March 20

The termination of NIH and other federal grants already approved and allocated by congress must stop. There is no transparency on why certain grants are being targeted and terminated. There is no rhyme or reason. This is a vendetta of the administration against science, data, and facts. These grants fund vital medical, environmental, and scientific studies that are advancing disease cures, revolutionary solutions to environmental catastrophes, and many other advancements. Cutting them without transparency, without cause, and against your will as congress is reprehensible. Not only are the scientific advancements at risk and the benefits to society that they would bring, but the livelihoods of scientists, doctors, researchers, graduate students, administrators, and so many more people are tied to these federal grants. Do your job and stop the illegal termination of federal funds already appropriated by congress.
