The plan to forcibly remove Palestinians from Gaza and replace them with Jewish settlers is an appalling act of ethnic cleansing that must be condemned in the strongest terms. The policy has deep roots stretching back decades before the current administration, driven by an extremist Zionist ideology that views Palestinians as unwanted obstacles to establishing an ethnically pure Jewish state. It represents a flagrant violation of international law and human rights norms. Rather than being a new or innovative proposal, this agenda aims to continue and intensify the decades-long oppression and displacement of Palestinian people from their ancestral homeland. It did not originate with the current president but has long been advanced by hardline Israeli factions and think tanks. Previous administrations, including that of President Biden, actively facilitated this criminal policy by pressuring Egypt to absorb Gaza's population. We cannot allow this grave injustice and crime against humanity to proceed unchallenged. All people of conscience must demand an immediate halt to any plans to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from the occupied territories. The rightful claims and human dignity of the Palestinian people must be upheld through a just resolution guaranteeing their right to self-determination, freedom and equal rights in their own land. The path of ethnic supremacy and forced population transfers is morally abhorrent and will only breed further conflict and suffering.
