The Trump Administration’s list of flagged words is an insult to the American people. The Trump Administration is using DEI and the myth of “woke” ideology to execute their agenda. Using DEI and Equal Opportunity as a guise for their prejudiced and flagrant attack on the American people, including the least of these - the most underrepresented and suffering members of this country’s constituency. This list of flagged words and continued dismantling of anything related to DEI, Equal Opportunity, and representation for the marginalized makes it harder for organizations (including government organizations like NPS, The VA, and many assistance programs) to secure grants and funding. Any aid to the marginalized is facing near automatic rejection. This is a slippery slope to make laws and bills more vague, so these laws can be interpreted and twisted in any way the Trump Administration wishes. It makes it easier for this administration to target and dismantle the government and beaurcracy from within. The government is quickly becoming authoritarian, not democratic. This country was founded on the basis of freedom, democracy, and choice. Those rights are being stripped from the people.
