Will you ensure USPS is NOT Privatized? Yes or No.

To: Rep. Graves

From: A constituent in Plattsburg, MO

April 3

I wrote to you that I expect you to support HR 70 to protect the USPS and ensure it remains independent and is NOT privatized. I asked you to respond about YOUR support for these elements. Once again, your "boiler plate" answer is totally unacceptable. I'm copying in a portion of your answer, look it up if you want to see the whole response. It does NOT answer my question - I expect a actual response to my question about HR 70 and if you will ensure that USPS is NOT privatized. Thank you for contacting me regarding the United States Postal Service (USPS). I appreciate hearing from you and welcome the opportunity to respond. Let me start by saying, I understand and share your frustration with USPS. Many of my constituents, like you, have reached out to my office to share their concerns with mail delivery delays, lost packages, and all other kinds of postal issues. This shouldn’t be the case; folks rely on the postal service to pay bills, communicate, receive lifesaving medications, and much more. Unfortunately, long delays and lost mail have become the new normal for the Postal Service, and I believe that USPS should be held accountable. The PONY UP Act is NOT what I ask about and you did NOT answer my question of "will you ENSURE that USPS is NOT privatized?". Please respond again and provide actual answers - not a form letter that doesn't answer my question. done'
