Oppose racist, misogynistic policies in the guise of DEI

To: Rep. Messmer, Pres. Trump, Sen. Young, Sen. Banks

From: A constituent in Leavenworth, IN

March 20

Answer me why you are taking anyone that was important enough to previously be on government websites down? Did they suddenly become unimportant? What’s really going on? It seems only black, Hispanic, Native Americans, women, or gays are not important enough to have their stories told now and have to be scrubbed deliberately or accidentally from sites. Taking down the stories of Code Talkers, Jackie Robinson, Charles Rogers, and Iwo Jima flag holder, Colin Powell, Medgar Evers, Enola Gay, and the names of black, women, and Hispanics buried at Arlington Cemetery is reprehensible. Im sure there are more. I don’t care if it was a mistake or intentional. Why was there any effort to delete any historical story? This has nothing to do with DEI! Their stories were important to our country’s history! The only obvious reason is that we have blatant racism in our current government! No white men had their stories removed! I’m not happy! You shouldn’t be either! You were elected to represent all Americans regardless! Does MAGA mean “Make America White Again”? This is a sad message from a country based in tolerance and a place where everyone was supposed to have a chance to succeed!
