This is not my first letter to you, I have yet to receive a response. Congress will be in recess soon and I would like to know if you will be holding a town hall during your break? I think it is imperative that you make time for your constituents. Most of us have real concerns regarding safeguarding our Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Trump never mentioned these programs during his campaign speech this week. His policies are extremely unpopular with the American people. How does firing and laying off American workers help our economy? How does raising tariffs help struggling American farmers and small businesses? You were elected to represent our community. I would invite you to take a poll of your constituents regarding their support for continuing tax cuts to the wealthy. We here in Nevada County can’t afford fire insurance. Get real and help those who need it. This country is going down hill rapidly and we have Trump and an enabling Congress to thank.
