I am an attorney that works for my local county’s Public Defender’s Office, who accepted my job with the understanding that I would be paid less than other lawyers, but that after 10 years of service that my student loans would be forgiven. My financial future is up in the air, all because of President Trump’s unconstitutional actions which seek to privatize my student loans which would no longer recognize or appreciate my decision to help those who need it for 10 years in exchange for having my student loans paid off. My entire financial future is in limbo because of this Rogue President who is not holding up his side of the bargain for those of us who have decided to spend our early legal careers helping those in need. None of this makes sense. As my elected representative, you must stand up for me! I implore you to see reason and help uphold our country’s end of its bargain.
