To the Members of the United States Congress, The United States is in the midst of a constitutional crisis. The rule of law is collapsing. Court orders are openly defied, federal agencies act without oversight, and a former president positions himself above accountability. This is not politics as usual—it is the systematic breakdown of constitutional governance. The federal government derives its authority from the Constitution, but what happens when it refuses to uphold it? If court rulings are optional, if justice is determined by political convenience, then we are no longer a constitutional republic—we are something far worse. If Washington will not follow the law, why should the states continue to submit to its authority? Arizona—and every other state—must seriously consider rejecting federal agencies that refuse to abide by the Constitution. We should not be financially propping up a federal government that no longer defends the rights of its citizens or enforces the rule of law. States were meant to be sovereign entities, not subjects to an increasingly lawless federal regime. Members of Congress, you swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. That oath does not expire when it becomes politically inconvenient. Your duty is not to your party, your donors, or your reelection campaign—it is to the people of this country and the laws that bind us together. If you refuse to act, history will remember you as the ones who stood by while this nation fell. The time for empty statements and political theater is over. We demand action to restore the rule of law, to rein in lawless federal agencies, and to hold every person in power accountable—no exceptions. If the federal government will not enforce the Constitution, then the states must step in. And if that means rejecting Washington’s authority, then so be it. We will not stand by while our country is dismantled from within. The American people deserve leaders who will fight for them—not cower in silence.
