Donald Trump’s second term is already spiraling into a full-blown assault on American democracy. Just 68 days in, he’s no longer hiding it—he wants to be king.
Let’s be honest: he never really left. We all know Trump ran the Republican Party throughout President Biden’s term—pulling strings, dictating endorsements, and crushing dissent. And look what a disaster that was: the least productive Congress ever. Now that he’s officially back, he’s moving fast to lock in power—floating a third term, installing loyalists, and stomping on the Constitution like it’s in his way.
And here’s the truth Trump fears most: if third terms were allowed, Barack Obama would beat him in a landslide—not by 52% to 47%, like Trump beat Kamala Harris, but by a margin that would leave no room for delusion. So he can’t let that election take place. He says there are “methods for it.” A bit ominous, right?
This isn’t about winning. It’s about control. Trump wants to rewrite the rules so he never has to leave.
We don’t have kings in America. We have limits. We have laws. We have a Constitution. And it’s up to you—Congress—to defend them before this goes any further.
I say this as a Republican. And I’m not alone. Every single person I know who voted for Trump this time has already decided to vote against him—and against the Republican Party—until this cult of personality is broken and the party returns to its principles.
Do something. Now.
