I am writing this as an American, the proud daughter and granddaughter of veterans. An American who has loved ones serving in the military right now. I have loved ones doing active duty, some of whom cannot say anything at all about their work to their families, not even to their spouses.
Shame on Hegseth, Waltz, and Vance for their so-called “security breach,” which they now minimize and lie about. I call it stupidity and arrogance. Their scandalous incompetence puts my loved ones and all who serve in the military at increased risk. Our brave people in uniform deserve better.
Shame on the Trump administration for abandoning America’s allies and embracing dictators and fascists. Cadet Bonespurs is outdoing himself these days.
Shame on Congressional Republicans for continuing to place self-interest above service, and for targeting female, black, and gay military personnel while elevating the lowest white men to leadership roles.
Thanks to Republican subservience to Trump and his cronies, American national security is a terrifying joke these days.
I demand that you call on Hegseth, Waltz, and Vance to resign. If they don’t have the decency to do so, impeach them.
And, while you’re at it, PLEASE protect veterans’ benefits!
