These are not isolated incidents. They are a pattern we’ve seen before in countries like Hungary, Turkey, and pre-WWII Germany [7]. Ask yourself: What will the U.S. look like in two months? Two years? If we normalize the destruction of independent oversight and weaponize government against political enemies, democracy cannot survive. We are watching the dismantling of checks and balances in real time, and history will not be kind to those who stay silent. Your oath is to the Constitution, not a man.
