I am writing to express my strong opposition to the CDC’s decision to allocate taxpayer dollars to yet another study on the relationship between vaccines and autism. This issue has been extensively researched, and no credible scientific evidence has ever established a link. The fact that the CDC is now dedicating resources to reexamine a thoroughly debunked claim raises serious concerns about political influence overriding scientific integrity.
It is hard to see this move as anything other than a politically motivated decision driven by RFK Jr., now heading Health and Human Services. Given his long history of promoting vaccine skepticism, I fear that this so-called “study” will be a vehicle for funneling public funds to fringe researchers with predetermined conclusions. This is not just a waste of money—it is a dangerous move that could undermine public trust in vaccines and public health institutions.
At a time when agencies like DOGE are slashing budgets and dismissing top-level professionals in critical fields, why is this obvious misuse of taxpayer funds not being scrutinized? I urge you to demand accountability for this decision and push back against this reckless and unnecessary initiative.
I look forward to your response on how you plan to address this matter.
