Please protect the Veteran’s Administration and Social Security. I heard the VA is firing 80,000 people! The majority of them are veterans. My husband tried to visit our social security office this morning. (Rio Rancho office) There was no one able to see him (we used to be able to walk in and take a number). He tried to call the main number. Wait time: 120 minutes. He finally gave up. Applications for SS: will take up to a year. Around the time that DOGE was hacking into the SS systems, My husband suddenly lost access to his social security online account and can no longer get in. He has no way to conduct business with Social Security. Please help us.
