Social Security is a vital lifeline for millions of seniors who have paid into the system their entire working lives. Lutnick's comments claiming only fraudsters will complain about potential cuts or privatization is not only untrue, it is an insult to those of us who paid into this all of our lives, and he needs to be reprimanded, at the very least or investigated and removed from office. Suggesting the privatization or reduction of these hard-earned benefits to offset tax cuts for the wealthy is deeply concerning and misguided. We must prioritize protecting and strengthening Social Security to ensure a dignified retirement for all Americans, not undermine it for the benefit of the ultra-rich. As representatives, your duty is to safeguard the financial security of your constituents, not advance proposals that would jeopardize the well-being of our nation's retirees and most vulnerable citizens. I urge you to reject any measures that would divert funds from Social Security or compromise its solvency.
