I urge you to prevent the president from defunding public libraries. Books and reading empower the next generation and are irreplaceable sources of culture, art and history. The president’s attempt to restrict access to books is fascist and reminiscent of Hitler’s book burning. Your daily decisions shape history. Inaction makes you complicit in these heinous acts. History will remember your stance. Thank you.
