Why do beneficiaries have to go to Social Security Offices to apply for benefits or just to change direct deposit information as of the end of this month? Some older citizens will have to travel over 100 miles to an office (with many slated to be closed) and thousands of Social Security employees are targeted to lose their jobs as a result of DOGE. Are you trying to discourage older Americans from collecting benefits they have paid into their entire working lives? Your job is oversight of these programs; please look into these efforts to deprive older Americans of their benefits and reverse them.
