Musk staffers are joking about how upcoming Social Security changes will restrict access, particularly for elderly individuals who may struggle to travel or use the internet. They are touting the cost savings from limiting access. Beginning March 31, people will no longer be able to verify their identity with the SSA over the phone. Those unable to verify their identity through the agency’s “my Social Security” online service will be required to visit a field office in person to complete the process. By closing regional offices all over the country how do we think people will get their rightful benefits? Do something to stop this. In the words of our president “stop the steal”. Act now. Act like responsible elected officials.
