I am writing to urge you to REJECT H.R. 1295, the so-called Reorganizing Government Act of 2025. Let’s be clear: this bill is not about “efficiency” — it’s about giving Donald Trump unchecked power to dismantle the federal government however he sees fit. As Rep. Melanie Stansbury rightly warned during the March 27th hearing, this bill “gives the executive branch the power to eliminate any program, office, or agency it wants.” That’s not reorganization — it’s an authoritarian blank check. The Trump administration is already bulldozing through government structure as if this bill were already law. Entire agencies have been gutted, programs sidelined, and power shifted to political operatives with no transparency or legal authority. If the President already had this power, Comer wouldn’t have to ask Congress for it — this bill is a confession that what they are doing is unlawful. Chairman Comer couldn’t defend it in committee. He had no answer to basic questions. What’s clear is that this bill is about rewarding Trump, not serving the American people. And that’s the deeper issue: too many in Congress have spent this term serving Donald Trump, not their constituents. We all see what’s happening — this bill is nothing but a desperate attempt to stay in Trump’s good graces and protect re-election chances. But let me be clear: no amount of donor money or Trump endorsements will save those who blindly follow him off a cliff. We are REPUBLICANS — and we are disgusted. We will vote for anyone other than those who enable this reckless power grab. If you stand with the Constitution and the country over one man, then vote NO on H.R. 1295.
