I am deeply concerned about the proposed cuts to SAMHSA, which will have a devasting impact on people suffering from substance use disorder, including the people I work with in our local community. These cuts will increase overdose deaths, overburden our hospitals and jails, and hurt our economy. Many of our community-based, peer-based, and faith-based providers depend on SAMHSA funding, and without it, they may be forced to shut down. These cuts will also tear families apart as more people lose access to treatment. I urge you to oppose any reductions to SAMHSA's budget and protect the nation's recovery programs. Thank you.
