Our government is in dire need of comprehensive reform to restore faith and functionality. Filibuster abuse has rendered the Senate ineffective, with a mere 41 senators able to obstruct the will of the majority. Partisan gerrymandering has rigged electoral maps, undermining the one person, one vote principle. Voter suppression tactics like strict ID laws, poll closures, and voter roll purges disenfranchise millions. And the outsized influence of money in politics corrupts our democratic process. We must abolish the filibuster, outlaw partisan gerrymandering, strengthen voting rights protections, and get dark money out of politics through public financing of campaigns and overturning Citizens United. Structural changes are imperative to fix our broken political system and make it truly democratic and representative of the people's interests.
