I strongly oppose any funding cuts to federal land management agencies, especially when public land use is increasing. Slashing budgets while expecting agencies to maintain infrastructure, manage wildfire risks, and ensure a positive visitor experience is both reckless and shortsighted. Our public lands need more support, not less.
I also oppose any policies that muzzle these agencies from sharing positive news about Americans’ deep connection to public lands and their massive economic impact. Transparency is non-negotiable—if these agencies are being forced to withhold key information, how can we, the public, make informed decisions about the policies that shape our lands?
These cuts and restrictions don’t just weaken conservation efforts—they undermine the entire public lands system. I expect you to stand up for full funding and transparency.
