Support SC Hospitality Industry
To: Sen. Elliott
From: A constituent in Greenville, SC
March 18
This week, the Senate has a chance to do what's right, end the political games and partisan bickering, and get a common-sense bill passed. The House has already passed a good liquor liability bill. Governor McMaster has said publicly he's ready to sign a liquor liability bill. The only thing standing in the way is inaction and gamesmanship in the Senate.
South Carolina's small businesses can't afford more delays or more closures.
Please support SC House Bill 3497. This common sense bill would do the following:
• closing the liquor liability loophole
• making warrantless claims defensible
• strengthening DUl laws
• rewarding responsible alcohol training
• lowering insurance requirements on responsible small businesses
SC can't afford to have another bar or restaurant close. I ask that you pass common sense legislation that supports our state's hospitality industry.
