Uphold court order, restore USAID operations as constitutional duty

To: Sen. Kelly, Rep. Ciscomani, Sen. Gallego

From: A verified voter in Tucson, AZ

April 3

I understand the grave importance of USAID and its humanitarian work around the world. The recent federal court ruling affirms that DOGE's attempts to dismantle this crucial agency were likely unconstitutional. As an elected representative, you have a duty to ensure the executive branch complies with this court order. USAID's life-saving foreign aid programs cannot be compromised by unlawful political interference. If the Trump administration fails to fully restore USAID's operations and staffing as mandated, it will constitute a dangerous defiance of the rule of law. To uphold our democratic institutions, you must take decisive action to hold the administration accountable for any continued unconstitutional overreach against USAID. The integrity of this vital agency, and American leadership on the global stage, depends on your principled opposition to these attacks. I urge you to take a stand in defense of USAID and the lawful limits on executive power.
