The Save Act (HR 22) is voter suppression. Vote NO please.
The burden of documentation required and the in-person registration requirement will disproportionately disenfranchise women, the oldest of our seniors, people in rural and farm communities, Americans abroad including those in the armed services, as well as those who've never had a reason to get a passport. This is voter suppression on steroids which is unfair, unfortunate and unjust.
The Save Act does nothing to safeguard our elections. It was drawn up mostly by outsiders in the Heritage Foundation to turn America back to unscrupulous, unethical and unspeakable times and practices that will further divide and erode our democracy and our country.
It is a mischievous lowdown stunt designed to end voting rights as we know it. To have this bill in play is ginning up voters fears. As you know, election fraud is rare but when it is occurs the culprit is almost always a Republican encouraged to do so by their party.
It would definitely be a disservice to your constituents as citizens of this country who sent you to Congress to vote for a bill that will only prevent some of those who voted for you from voting again.
I am counting on you to vote NO on HR 22 and to support the John Lewis Voting Rights Act when it is reintroduced. We cannot as the only party defending this country to continue to capitulate and kowtow to these republicans who are destroying the country and breaking their oath to the constitution and the people of America on a daily basis.
Thank you for choosing to represent us and for fighting for not just your constituents but all of the people of the United States of America.
