I am reaching out as your constituent to ask that you join your colleagues in co-sponsoring H.J. Res. 68, 69, 70, and 71 to block additional lethal weapons sales to the Israeli military. Over the last year and a half, the U.S. has sent over $17 billion in military funding and weapons to the Israeli military that have enabled a genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Now, President Trump is making an already dire situation worse. Members of Congress must put checks on the actions of the Executive Branch by halting the additional $8.5 billion Trump weapons sale to Netanyahu. The Israeli government has walked away from the ceasefire deal and has publicly announced that it is once again completely blockading Gaza, preventing any aid or goods from entering. The use of starvation as a weapon of war is a war crime. It is time for Congress to stop the Executive Branch from supporting these atrocities. I hope that you will co-sponsor H.J. Res 68-71 to block this Trump weapons sale.
