SB472 will be on the floor on Thursday. Please vote NO on it. Transgender students are children and children should be allowed a place they feel safe to use the bathroom. Forcing them to use a particular bathroom or another increases their feelings of unsafety, increases bullying against trans children, and has negative impacts on their mental health. This bill will endanger trans children and increase their self-harm and suicide attempts. Similar bills around the country have already had that demonstrable effect. Please vote NO to protect the tiny number of trans Tennessee children. They just want to live safely and peacefully. Help us help them do that.
