Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on Friday floated the idea of renaming another major body of water.
“Anybody think if there’s a Lake Michigan, maybe there should be a Lake Ohio around here?” Ramaswamy, a Columbus-area Republican, said Friday during a local GOP fundraiser in suburban Toledo, about 13 miles away from the shores of Lake Erie. “I’m feeling that. We’ll talk about that a little bit more as this campaign progresses.”
This is the absolute stupidest thing, it’s joking at best, virtue signaling at worst, trying to pander to an America-first, Ohio-first community is not good.
We are strong because our neighbors are strong. Do not support this man or this mindset as the months to election unfold. We will use our voices to vote, and they will not be for this type of self-serving type of tomfoolery.
Fighting for the rights of Ohioans should be fighting for the rights of all citizens of the United States should be fighting for the rights of everyone, until there truly is life, liberty, and justice for all.
