Do not sign flag ban
To: Gov. Cox
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
March 6
Governor Cox,
Please do not sign the flag ban. Pride flags are a symbol of inclusion. Banning them sends the message that LGBTQ people are not welcome. Surely you have someone in your life, a child, sibling, niece or nephew who is LGBTQ. Put yourself in their shoes seeing the adults in their life banning a flag that signals they are welcome to be there. Are republicans that insecure that they’re afraid of a flag? What happened to the principles of small government? Why does big daddy government have to infringe on personal liberties and freedom of expression? There was a time when republicans were for small government. Do the right thing and veto this ridiculous bill.
