The Department of Education is vital to the United States. As the parent of a child in a public school, I am appalled and disgusted that the President intends to cut 1,300 jobs, effectively dismantling the organization. This is an attack on our children and our families, and it cannot stand. Voters did not vote for block grants. They are a scam that let politicians cut education funding with no accountability because block grants have no oversight. That means fewer resources, larger class sizes, and more kids left behind. This isn’t about ”state control.” It’s about defunding and privatizing public education. This is not the action to take to ensure every American has access to a quality education.and it does not make America great. I urge you to do everything in your power to resist this terrible decision and not let the mirage of "efficiency" prevent us from making sure our children can become the Congressmen, teachers, doctors, and brilliant minds of tomorrow.
