I am writing to you today with a sense of sheer outrage and frustration at the proposed Republican budget, which is nothing short of an attack on the American people. This budget is reckless, heartless, and entirely out of step with the needs of the majority of your constituents. It’s time for you to stop putting the interests of the wealthy and corporate elites above the needs of the people who put you in office. I demand that you vote NO on this disgraceful proposal.
The budget proposed by Republicans is a direct assault on the very programs that millions of Americans depend on to survive—cuts to healthcare, education, social safety nets, and crucial services that help families get by. These cuts are not only cruel, they are entirely unnecessary. To prioritize tax breaks for the wealthy while slashing support for the most vulnerable is an unforgivable betrayal of your duty to your constituents. How can you justify this? How can you look your community in the eye and claim to serve them when you’re lining the pockets of billionaires at their expense?
This is not fiscal responsibility. This is an act of greed and a glaring example of corruption. It’s unconscionable to see so many vital services being gutted, all while the rich get richer. You should be ashamed. The American people do not want this. We do not want a society where the rich continue to hoard wealth while the rest of us struggle to survive.
I am demanding that you vote NO on this budget. It is time for you to stand up for the people who have been overlooked, overworked, and ignored for far too long. If you truly care about serving your constituents, you will reject this budget and fight for policies that benefit all Americans, not just the wealthy few.
The American people are watching. We will not forget this.
