The Administration for Community Living, which oversees programs for older adults and people with disabilities, is at risk of being eliminated due to proposed budget cuts from the Department of Health and Human Services. This vital agency serves millions of vulnerable Americans by providing home-delivered meals, caregiver support, protection from abuse and neglect, and assistance to live independently. Dismantling this agency would jeopardize essential services and support systems that allow our nation's seniors and those with disabilities to maintain their dignity, health, and quality of life. I urge you to reject these misguided cuts and instead increase funding to strengthen the Administration for Community Living's ability to meet the growing needs of an aging population and individuals facing physical and cognitive challenges. Preserving this agency is a moral imperative that upholds our shared values of compassion and care for society's most vulnerable members.
