Make like Booker and STAND UP for our rights
To: Sen. Warren, Sen. Markey
From: A constituent in Allston, MA
April 2
Senator Booker’s speech is a good start but not nearly enough to claw us back from the total loss of democracy. MA needs its senators to do the same and stand up for students being abducted by the state, education, library, museum, and health funding being slashed, and false narratives about what is or isn’t happening within the Executive Branch. Rumeysa Özturk is an early childhood researcher who never attended a protest (not that this would be a reason to detain her!) and was here legally and without breaking any procedural rules—which, again, would be insufficient to merit her kidnapping. Stand up on the floor of the Senate and follow in Senator Booker’s footsteps. You won’t break his record, but you will show him—and, most importantly, your constituents!!—that you are WITH us.
