I am sorry to hear about children in Texas who are suffering and dying from an outbreak of measles. Measles is preventable and there are years and years of scientific evidence to support the efficacy and safety of the measles vaccine. Unfortunately, parents are following the advice of Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. , who has claimed that Vitamin A can prevent cases of measles. Not only is there no scientific evidence to support Secretary Kennedy’s claim, but children are showing up in Texas hospitals with toxic levels of Vitamin A.
Clearly DEI (Distressingly Embarrassing Ignorance)-hire Kennedy was not approved by the Senate for his knowledge, experience, and expertise in the health and welfare of our nation. When it comes to this cabinet appointment, I am reminded of Maya Angelou who said, “When you know better, do better.” You know better. The time for you to do better is NOW!
