I am writing to urge the Democratic party to form a shadow cabinet in order to help Democrats control more of the narrative, show that they have a plan to fight Project 2025, and showcase future leaders of the party. I want the Senator to publicly express support for this idea and work to build consensus among colleagues. It’s time. On a related note, I also want the Senator to call for Senator Schumer to step down as Minority Leader. We deserve leadership that will fight for our democracy. Schumer showed last week that he’s not up for that fight. I want to see the Senator call for him to step aside now. I demand that the Senator stop allowing the Trump administration to defy the Constitution. Congress needs to do its job as a co-equal branch of government to resist Trump’s blatant disregard for the rule of law. I want the Senator to publicly condemn and demand oversight hearings to investigate the Trump administration's open defiance of federal court orders. They should also support articles of impeachment and move to convict Trump for his repetitive defiance of constitutional law. Enough! We don’t have kings in America. Do your job!
