The SecDef Must Resign!

To: Sen. Tuberville, Sen. Britt, Rep. Strong

From: A verified voter in Huntsville, AL

March 25

I am sure you are as appalled as I am to read in the Atlantic that our Secretary of Defense and many other highly placed individuals communicated sensitive, classified operational details about upcoming military action over a messenging app that has been explicitly banned by the DoD for use in any such fashion. We are fortunate that the editor of the Atlantic was inadvertantly included, however horrifying that may be, because it reveals the true lawlessness and carelessness of those highly placed officials. A person with honor would resign after such a travesty, but I do not expect Pete Hegseth to prove himself a man of honor. I call upon you to pressure him to resign or, failing that, to call him before Congress to justify the extreme lawlessness of his actions (risking American lives by revealing operational details in advance over a messenging app that may have backdoor access by foreign governments, despite its ostensible encryption). Had you witnessed such a scofflaw in prior administrations, I am confident your voice would have been among the loudest. Demonstrate your own honor by putting country over party, constitution over craven capitulation.
