The Social Security Administration's current crisis is jeopardizing the timely and reliable delivery of benefits that millions of retirees like myself have earned through decades of hard work. Underfunding, outdated technology, policies driven by unfounded fraud investigations rather than public service, and a rapid exodus of experienced personnel have severely hampered access to these essential payments that are my primary source of income. With long wait times, crashing websites, understaffed offices lacking supplies, and entire critical operations shut down, retirees are struggling to receive and manage the Social Security benefits we were promised and paid for over the course of our careers. Immediate action to stabilize this vital agency, restore full public access, and ensure continuity of hard-earned retirement income is imperative.
